  • TASTING NOTE: This is a beautiful, light dry Rose; it has delicate fruit flavours and a surprisingly full palate. It’s subtle, dried strawberry fruit flavours are beautifully complemented by the light astringency and the gentle acidity contributes to its lightly drying finish. West Cape Howe
  • ABOUT THE WINE: This year’s Rose is our preferred blend of Tempranillo (60%) and Shiraz (40%). Several parcels of fruit were selected for the Rose; some was crushed and pressed with a short time on skins to pick up some colour in the juice. Some riper picked fruit was handled by the ‘Saignee’ method; the juice being drained from the crusher with just a hint of colour and then fermented at ~ 15 C to dryness. We’ve bottled this wine early to maximise all the delicate fruit flavours. West Cape Howe
  • ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Founded in 1997 and owned by four Western Australian families, West Cape Howe has become one of Western Australia’s favourite wine brands. The Langton vineyard was established in 1978 and has some of the most mature vines in the Great Southern, consistently producing the highest quality fruit. In recent years, West Cape Howe acquired neighbouring vineyards in Mt Barker and has significant vineyard resources in Frankland. With a reliable climate, these vineyards have contributed to the consistent quality of West Cape Howe’s wines.
