ABOUT THE PRODUCER: The Extremely modest Cristina Bossotti and husband Davide decided to take over the family vineyards and Cantina in 2001 that had previously been run by her father Vincenzo. The wines produced prior to 2001 were mainly for family consumption and sold in bulk. Since 2002 Davide has worked organically and under guidance of Mario Redoglia (oenologist). Although the vineyards are not certified as such, Davide believes the wines should sell on their merits as being great wine, not because its marketed as organic or biodynamic or natural and having always traditionally worked in a natural way in the vineyard and cellar this seemed the right decision. All wines are vinified with natural yeast and with a very little amount of added sulfur to maintain the integrity of the wines once in bottle. All wines are vinified in stainless steel and a combination of old botti and barrique. Like all great producers the vilification process is simple and the resulting wines are fresh, textured and expressive and are a pleasure to drink. Importer Notes
