- TASTING NOTE: Clear, medium intensity, ruby colour wine. The nose is clean, high intensity fresh aromas of black fruit such us blackberry, blackcurrant, also black pepper, cedar and earthy notes. The palate is dry and fresh, soft tannins and medium body. Black fruit flavours, mineral hints and a long finish.
- ABOUT THE WINE: 100% Graciano. The vineyards are high altitude in the hills between Ebro valley and the Iberian mountains. Hand harvested. Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeast. Light maceration in stainless steel vats. Very soft pump over. Malolactic fermentation of 25% in new French tight-grain oak barrels with the remainder in stainless steel. Subsequently aged for 9 months on its lees in French oak barrels (toasted medium-plus). Gently clarified and lightly filtered.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Established in 1989, Antonio Sanz fulfilled his dream of making his own wines in the south of Navarra, after his entire life dedicated to the world of wine. Since 2007, Viña Zorzal is a now run by the next generation, Iñaki Sanz, Xabier Sanz & Mikel Sanz along with their friend Rafael Regadera . They focus on recuperating old vineyards and focusing on high altitude, bush-vine fruit. The aim was to produce authentic, terroir driven Graciano and Grenache, the results are highly acclaimed.
