  • TASTING NOTE: "2021 Barolo Berri is striking in its beauty. Crushed flowers, sweet red-toned fruit, chalk, mint and white pepper all meld together effortlessly. Silky, polished tannins frame the finish. The 2021 doesn't have the immediacy of the 2020, but it may catch up to it one day because of its energy. It is a superb young Barolo-that much is clear. About 30% of wine saw submerged cap maceration. Time in cask was 25 months." 95+ Points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous
  • ABOUT THE WINE: The grapes came from La Morra on the westmost boundary of Barolo. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 370-430m, giving the Nebbiolo grapes cool night temperatures during its extended ripening season. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in 70% in concrete vessels and 30% in steel tank for 12-14 days followed by 6-7 days of post-fermentative maceration, so that skin-contact lasts about three weeks in total, extracting tannins and flavors. The wine matures for 25 months in 520 and 250L oak barrels, and then it rests for some months in concrete before bottling.
  • ABOUT THE PRODUCER:  Trediberri literally means "the three from Berri", a small town in the westernmost part of La Morra overlooking the Langhe hills. Nicola Oberto, his father Federico Oberto and their friend Vladimiro Rambaldi planted the first vineyard ( 5 ha in La Morra) in 2007. Then, they expanded  till the 10.5ha of vineyards they have today, which include Berri, Rocche dell'Annunziata and Torriglione Crus, along with vineyards in Bastia Mondovi' and Clavesana (in the southern Langhe area). A very young, family-owned artisan winery that produce great wine for passion.
