- TASTING NOTE: "Cuvée Juveniles is an iconic name in modern Barossan wine, named after the famous Parisian wine bar, and I know it was a gateway drug for me early in my wine career. This year sees a blend of 48% grenache, 31% mataro, 10% carignan, 6% counoise and 5% shiraz, and it's still a crunchy, juicy, easy-drinking style of wine that hits all the right buttons. Raspberry, red plum, cranberry and red apple-skin notes with layers of exotic spice, Chinese barbecue joint, citrus blossom, crushed rock and rose petals. Yeah!" 94 Points - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion
- ABOUT THE WINE: Cuvée Juveniles is a Grenache-based blend inspired by the fresh, bistro-style wines of the Rhône Valley. Grenache, Mataro, Carignan, Counoise and Shiraz are sourced from key Barossa vineyards, the fruit is hand-harvested and fermented in small open-top fermenters using indigenous yeasts.. The wine is basket pressed and matured in a mix of stainless steels and older French oak foudre for 12 months. After blending the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Torbreck

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: First established by Dave Powell in the 1990's Torbreck Vintners was acquired in September 2013 by wealthy Californian entrepreneur and vintner Peter Kight (of Quivira Vineyards). Talented winemaker Ian Hongell joined the team in '16. Shiraz (and other Rhône varieties) is the focus, led by The Laird, RunRig, The Factor and Descendant. Wines are unfined and unfiltered and there is a focus on protecting and spotlighting the old vine vineyards within the Barossa.
