- TASTING NOTE: A fine but textured palate, with some lemon pith and apple skin flavours, and a very moreish saline, seaspray note. Good acid levels keep the wine taut, but there is also some texture from skin contact that adds interest, and some flesh in the mid-palate.

ABOUT THE WINE: Hand harvested. A portion of the fruit spent two weeks fermenting as whole bunches in a sealed fermenter before being pressed to old oak puncheons to finish the ferment. The balance of the fruit was cooled and gently whole bunch pressed. This crisp pure juice was run off to old oak to
ferment. The two parcels rested on fine lees before blending and bottling in the winter. -
ABOUT THE PRODUCER: The Other Wine Co. wines are vinified and bottled at the Shaw + Smith winery in Balhannah in South Australia's Adelaide Hills. Here the winemakers the opportunity to make wines from varieties and/or regions that fall outside of Shaw + Smith's rigorous definition. Stylistically, the wines avoid over-ripeness, oak and power in preference to freshness, balance and overall drinkability.
