- TASTING NOTE: "The wine sees a wild ferment, most of which occurs in an 1800L foudre. It is left on lees for eight months. Juicy, fleshy and slightly slate-like mineral characters, with a lick of white balsamic tang alongside. It's an edgy, exotic expression with brown lime, preserved lemon, ginger to the fore, indeed, quite piquant and spicy through the finish, in the most pleasing way. - ABOUT THE WINE: Fruit is sourced from the Powderbark Ride Vineyard, with average vine age of 26 years, grown on ironstone gravel. The fruit was picked in the cool of night in early March 2023, gently crushed, pressed and allowed to settle. Only the first press, pristine free run juice was then racked to a 1800L oak foudre. Wild fermentation was encouraged. The wine was unsulphured and left on yeast lees until December. The wine was then pumped out of oak, sulphured and blended with 12% unoaked Riesling, then stabilised, filtered and bottled at the winery.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: TNHY is owned and run by wine consultant Terry Chellappah 'between rocking the bass guitar and researching bars', and Vanessa Carson, who has been with Plan B! Wines since 2016, and has made a wonderful impact on the wines both in terms of quality and personality. Since graduating as Dux from Winemaking School in 1999, Vanessa has been busy working in Italy, France and of course here in Australia in the key Western Australian appellations of Frankland River, Margaret River and most recently the beautiful Ferguson Valley overlooking the ocean just north of Margaret River.
