  • TASTING NOTE: "Sourced off Darling Estate; fermentation and maturation in a combination of five different vessels, including ceramic egg. A wine with a strong individual personality combining tart citrus, pear and apple packed deep with earthy herbals and a touch of spice. Marked acidity is a varietal trait; it remains the driver here, but it works nicely with a lightly waxy texture. Afforded some TLC by the maker, it will be interesting to note how aligoté ages. I suspect it will age well.93 Points - Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion
  • ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Chris Catlow was born and raised in Beechworth, Victoria and developed a curiosity for wine making in his teens. His interest was nurtured by Barry Morey at Sorrenberg while he worked with him on vintages before going on to complete a double degree in Viticultural Science and Wine Science at Latrobe University in Melbourne. His early passion for Chardonnay stayed with him as he went on to complete seven vintages on the Mornington Peninsula (with Kooyong Estate, Portsea Estate and Paringa Estate) and five in Burgundy. Sourcing quality grapes from growers across Victoria, Sentiō Wines invites the drinker to understand the varietal through the lens of where it was grown, and the conditions it experienced during the vintage it was harvested in.
