  • TASTING NOTE: "Fantastic nose of ginseng, dried apricots, yellow plums, brown sugar, honey, lemons and tangerine peel. Honeyed and smooth with layers of dried fruit and subtle earthy elements. Excellent balance and freshness. Tangy. 65% furmint, 30% harslevelu, plus small amounts of other varieties. So delicious now. Drink or hold." 95 Points - JamesSuckling.com
  • ABOUT THE WINE: Fine quality Aszú berries with good flavour, balance and perfect botrytis were macerated in fermenting must for two days. After pressing and finishing fermentation, the wines were filled into 300 and 500 litre Hungarian oak casks and left to age in deep, underground cellars for over two years. The final blends were carefully crafted in the spring of 2020.
  • ABOUT THE PRODUCER:  The Royal Tokaji Winery, founded in 1990, has become one of the most admired wineries in Tokaj. At the outset, Royal Tokaji decided to concentrate on producing single vineyard wines, made from the First Growth vineyards of Mézes Mály, Nyulászó, Szt. Tamás and Betsek. Acknowledged as one of the region's top winemakers, they combine traditional techniques with modern technology to create the award-winning Royal Tokaji range of wines. Royal Tokaji is the acknowledged leader of the renaissance of this legendary Hungarian wine, which, in the words of the wine author and company co-founder Hugh Johnson, is "a wine that would make angels sing out loud in praise". Their goal is to revive and bring back to international acclaim the wines of one of history's most renowned wine regions. Royal Tokaji
