- TASTING NOTE: The wine exhibits predominant aromas of red cherries, red berries, licorice, graphite, and dark flowers. It is full-bodied with high acidity and alcohol content. The tannins are high, yet ripe and refined, leading to a typical toasty finish.
- ABOUT THE WINE: The wine is a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Fifty percent of the grapes are pressed immediately after harvest, while the other 50% undergo appassimento. After crushing, the wine ferments for approximately 8 days with indigenous yeast. Prior to bottling, it is aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for about 60 months.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: The winery, established in 1924, is located in the hills above the town of Negrar in the heart of the Valpolicella zone in Veneto. The estate spans 10 hectares of vineyards, with three hectares situated on the hill of Monte Ca' Paletta, next to the winery. While traditional practices form the foundation of Quintarelli’s winemaking, it was Giuseppe Quintarelli, who took charge in the mid-1950s until his death in 2012, that drove the winery’s success. Giuseppe embraced innovation alongside tradition, ensuring the winery’s evolution while maintaining respect for its heritage. Today, his descendants continue to oversee the estate, committed to upholding the family legacy with sustainable viticulture at the heart of their winemaking philosophy.
