ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Markus Molitor became the eighth-generation winemaker of his family’s estate in 1984 at the tender age of only 20 after his father passed away in an accident, and he quickly earned himself a reputation for his uncompromising commitment to quality and his daring minimal intervention approach in the winery. With 15 vineyard holdings spanning from the Mittelmosel all the way to the Saar, many of them on precipitously steep slopes with gradients of up to 80 degrees, some with ungrafted vines more than 100 years old, and all of them requiring untold hours of manual labour, Markus has some of the region’s finest fruit at his fingertips.
