- TASTING NOTE: This Cabernet Franc reveals a delicate hue and a fragrant bouquet of ripe cherries, violets and blackberries, with underlying notes of Black Doris plum. With soft tannins supporting a core of juicy red fruits- raspberry and cranberry- balanced by subtle herbal undertones and hints of graphite. A gentle floral lift persists through the finish, adding an air of refinement to this classic, nuanced wine.
- ABOUT THE WINE: The destemmed grapes were fermented in an open steel fermenter and handled very gently using daily pumpovers and hand plunging. Transferred to mature French oak barrels after pressing, to rest and mature for 8 months.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: "After studying Viticulture and oenology in New Zealand, I have spent over 17 years working in some of the best organic and biodynamic vineyards and wineries in Australasia. My focus to learn alongside the best winemakers and viticulturists has taken me to many wine regions, but it was South Australia where I established my eponymous label in 2020. Taking great care to produce fine wines with purity of fruit, vineyard site, regionality and seasonal expression. I employ minimal intervention winemaking techniques balanced by modern scientific knowledge." Lauren Langfield
