  • TASTING NOTE: "At first pour this seems strongly stemmy (only 20% whole bunches added to the ferment), nervy and a touch reductive, which is why it needs decanting. After an hour or so, it unfurls dramatically, beautifully. A complex mix of red and black cherries, pips, too, all infused with warm spices and fresh herbs. It’s smoky and exotic with blood orange and chinotto. The palate is medium weighted, the tannins fine (if a little sinewy), and cleansing acidity knits everything together and ensures a long finish." 95 Points - Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion
  • ABOUT THE WINE: One of our best vintages from this lovely site, showing the exceptional combination of freshness, depth and structure in an elegant frame. Cellaring will be well rewarded. Joshua Cooper
  • ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Established in 2012 with a single barrel, my wine operation is based around a négocient system, sourcing from sensitive and conscientious growers with great vineyard sites in the Macedon Ranges and across Central and Western Victoria. With a focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from significant and historic sites, this is an exploration of my surroundings through wine, made without artifice, to be a reflection of place and season. Joshua Cooper
