ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Established by Jonathon Hesketh in ’06, this label is now part of The Usual Suspects Collective, which also has Ox Hardy Wines and Parker Coonawarra Estate under its wing, among others. Jonathon, who still oversees the winery’s operations, spent 7 years as the global sales and marketing manager of Wirra Wirra, and 2.5 years as general manager of Distinguished Vineyards in NZ. He is also the son of Robert Hesketh, one of the key players in the development of many facets of the SA wine industry. As a small, family-owned producer of high-quality wines, the Hesketh Wine Company works with local growers and processes their own fruit in the traditional method. But rather than follow the path most travelled and attempt to be all things to all people from one region, their approach is to focus solely on the strengths of various growing regions.
