- TASTING NOTE: Pale lemon with green-gold hues. Fragrant aromas of citrus blossom, Meyer lemon, lime zest, green apple and white peach. A vibrant palate reveals fresh-cut lemon, yellow grapefruit and finger lime, interwoven with subtle notes of chamomile and jasmine, supported by crisp acidity, leading to a long, pure finish. Henschke
- ABOUT THE WINE: This riesling takes its name from a local landmark, Peggy’s Hill, at the top of the range between the villages of Eden Valley and Keyneton. It is produced from a selection of longstanding Eden Valley riesling growers, whose vines range from 10 to 70 years of age, growing in low-vigour, ancient Cambrian soils at around 500m altitude. Peggy's Hill Riesling displays exceptional varietal and regional characteristics of lemon and lime citrus, white florals and fine acidity.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Henschke is one of Australia's great wine producers, situated in Keyneton in the Eden Valley of South Australia. The Henschke's trace their roots in Australia to the mid 19th century with the first recorded sale of Henschke wine in 1868. It's flagship wine, the 'Hill Of Grace' Shiraz is sourced from a single vineyard from vines over 160 years old. The current generations of the Henschke family (5th and 6th) that tend the 109 hectares under vine in the Eden Valley, Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills, use organic and biodynamic principals in their vineyards and are world leaders in sustainable wine production.
