- TASTING NOTE: "Lots of peach, lots of honeydew melon, a vigorous shake of brown spice, a touch of toffee, clove and cedar here. There's richness to texture, but a very bright line of saline acidity makes things perkier and livelier. A bit of green mango bitterness follows through. It's a charismatic, four-square style, but ease of drinking and depth of fruit elevates the offering." 93 Points - Mike Bennie, Halliday

ABOUT THE WINE: The free run juice was fermented in powerful French oak coopered in Burgundy introducing spicy, toasty complexity and rich creamy textures.
Additionally, the wine was allowed to go through a partial secondary malolactic fermentation further softening the wine and enhancing the rich savoury textures. Aromas of toasty oak and roasted cashews support rich nectarine fruit with hints of melon complementing a long cool climate, grapefruit finish. This wine will improve with up to ten years careful cellaring. Harewood Estate

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: In 2003, James and Careena Kellie, responsible for the contract making of Harewood’s wines since '98, purchased the Harewood Estate. They constructed a 300t winery, offering both contract winemaking services and the ability to expand the Harewood range to include subregional wines from across the Great Southern region. The aim of Harewood Estate hasn’t changed: grapes are grown in select, low yielding vineyards to create wines that represent the best the region has to offer.
