Always one of the most anticipated releases of the year, the 2025 Giant Steps (Yarra Valley, Victoria) wines have just been released to great acclaim. Winemaker Mel Chester notes that wines show great generosity and are already drinking beautifully. “The 2025 Single Vineyard wines are powerful yet beautifully resolved - a true expression of what we set out to do each year: to let every site tell its own story. The Chardonnays are among the most generous we have produced in recent years, with depth and intensity driven by fruit rather than oak or winemaking. The Pinot Noirs are fragrant, juicy and silky, supported by spicy, textured tannins and the distinctive savoury character that runs through the collection".
Production of the Single Vineyard wines is very limited with some vineyards producing as little as 200 cases. To complement the Single Vineyard wines from the Yarra Valley each pack also contains the regional Yarra Valley Pinot Noir and the Circle Of Fifths Pinot Noir which is a blend of the five single vineyard sites. In 2025 there was no Single Vineyard Pinot Noir from the Tarraford vineyard.
