- TASTING NOTE: Bright, pale straw. Aromas of white flowers, nectarine and toasted nutty nougat. Elegant palate with flavours of grapefruit and white stonefruit. Textured and complex, the wine's natural acidity leads to a long finish and ageing capacity.Drink now and up to 8 years of cellaring from vintage.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Grapes are sourced from the estates oldest Chardonnay sites planted in 1985, along with a parcel of Bernard clones 95, 76 and 96.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Forest Hill Vineyard has a unique place in the history of Western Australia’s wine industry, being the first cool climate vineyard planted in the state in 1965 as an experiment by the Western Australian Department of Agriculture. The original vineyard was planted with Riesling and Cabernet cuttings sourced from the Houghton's property in the Swan Valley. The property was purchased by the Lyons family in 1996 who embarked on a program to rejuvenate the old vineyards and plant appropriate new ones.
