  • TASTING NOTE: "Includes 1% cabernet sauvignon, hand-picked, destemmed and crushed, open-fermented, cultured yeast, matured in French oak (35% new) for 18 months. French oak is a major contributor to the bouquet and palate of the wine (more than expected from 35% new), but there is a wealth of red and black cherry and blueberry fruit, and the texture and weight is impeccable, fresh acidity a further boon." 94 Points - Halliday Wine Companion
  • ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Forest Hill Vineyard has a unique place in the history of Western Australia’s wine industry, being the first cool climate vineyard planted in the state in 1965 as an experiment by the Western Australian Department of Agriculture. The original vineyard was planted with Riesling and Cabernet cuttings sourced from the Houghton's property in the Swan Valley. The property was purchased by the Lyons family in 1996 who embarked on a program to rejuvenate the old vineyards and plant appropriate new ones.
