Eldorado Road 'Dreamfields' Fiano 2024

- TASTING NOTE: All hail North East Vic Fiano, a grape that, vintage after vintage, shines. So aromatic – spring flowers, white peach, citrus, baked apple – and so concentrated across the middle palate, but also juicy and fresh. A leesy, nougat, almond meal texture builds, but it is the persistence of the finish that nails it so convincingly. 96 Points - Jeni Port, Halliday
- ABOUT THE WINE: Pressed to stainless steel, fermented in French oak with a mix of wild and cultured yeasts, 5 months in oak on full lees.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: "Eldorado is often used as a metaphor for the “Holy Grail” that one might spend one’s life seeking. It could represent true love, heaven, happiness or success. It is used sometimes as a figure of speech to represent something much sought after that may never exist or at least may not ever be found. Eldorado is located in the Beechworth foothills equidistant between Beechworth and Wangaratta. Our tiny home vineyards are located on Eldorado Road and only several kilometers from the quaint hamlet of Eldorado. The property was selected and purchased principally because it is located on a seam of free draining red decomposed granite loaded with granite buckshot, flanked by granite hills and fed by the gentle flowing Reedy Creek which weaves its way through our property on its journey to the Ovens River. Paul Dahlenburg (Bear) and Lauretta Schulz (Laurie) have spent a career making wine and tending to the vineyards of others, in 2010 and Eldorado Road was born and just like we had our own label."
