- TASTING NOTE: Light pale-yellow colour. Very nice expression of ripe fruits on the nose, tending towards bergamot, citrus fruits, vine peach. Medium intensity but precise and clean. We can really feel the character of the vintage through a successful physiological maturity on a delicate and elegant harmony, with an aromatic display of ripe fruits. Enveloping mouth, velvety with a caressing ripe acidity, discreet on the attack but showing well on the palate. This wine remains on a very fine and elegant texture, on the finish it reveals a light structure which supports the dry balance of this wine well. Domaine Zind-Humbrecht

ABOUT THE WINE: In 2023, given the small harvest of Riesling in the Herrenweg area of Turckheim, we were forced to blend our Riesling Turckheim with our Roche Roulée cuvée to produce only one wine. The average age of the vines is therefore much higher than the usual 36 years.
The wines from Herrenweg of Turckheim are always very aromatic, advanced in their development and are always defined by a very ripe acidity and opulent fruit. The wines from Herrenweg are accessible and generous in their youth and although they are often best enjoyed at this stage can surprise 10 or even 20 years later. Domaine Zind-Humbrecht

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Winegrowing is a passion that has been passed down from father to son in the Humbrecht family since the 17th century. Modern day Domaine Zind Humbrecht started with the 1959 amalgamation of the Humbrecht family vineyards in Gueberschwihr and the Zind family vineyards in Wintzenheim. Current custodian Olivier Humbrecht MW is the latest generation of Humbrecht winemakers. Olivier is a legend among modern French winemakers, becoming France’s first Master of Wine at the age of 29, before returning to the family Domaine and beginning a journey to revitalise the vineyards after years of chemical treatment common at the time. Today the Domaine comprises 41.1 hectares of vines spread throughout a range of Grand Cru and single-vineyard sites, all cultivated organically and according to biodynamic principles.
