TASTING NOTE: Light yellow/pale green colour. Right from the opening, the nose shows all the typical floral aromas of the grape variety. Of medium intensity, we find an aromatic palette of boxwood, menthol, lily, all in finesse
which provides a beautiful olfactory pleasure. The palate confirms the light texture of the wine. As with many wines of this vintage, the finesse of the palate is surprising, well enhanced by ripe tannins and a beautiful acidity. Airy finish, dry wine, so easy! Domaine Zind-Humbrecht - ABOUT THE WINE: The Muscat cultivar ‘Petit Grain’ or ‘Small Berries’, which is also found in the south of France, shows its adaptability to climate change. More vigorous, fertile, and especially later ripening than its cousin Ottonel, the Petit Grain is more resistant to heat and drought. It is also possible to harvest it on the gravelly soils of Turckheim with a beautiful aromatic maturity without having to wait too long. In 2023, the very slow rise in sugars in the grapes further accentuates this phenomenon and explains a moderate alcohol with of a beautiful aromatic expression. This grape variety deserves to be known in Alsace because it knows how to produce fine, elegant wines, with a moderate alcohol and aromas that invite tasting. Fermentation is rapid on this wine and always results in a dry balance. Domaine Zind-Humbrecht

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Winegrowing is a passion that has been passed down from father to son in the Humbrecht family since the 17th century. Modern day Domaine Zind Humbrecht started with the 1959 amalgamation of the Humbrecht family vineyards in Gueberschwihr and the Zind family vineyards in Wintzenheim. Current custodian Olivier Humbrecht MW is the latest generation of Humbrecht winemakers. Olivier is a legend among modern French winemakers, becoming France’s first Master of Wine at the age of 29, before returning to the family Domaine and beginning a journey to revitalise the vineyards after years of chemical treatment common at the time. Today the Domaine comprises 41.1 hectares of vines spread throughout a range of Grand Cru and single-vineyard sites, all cultivated organically and according to biodynamic principles.
