  • ABOUT THE WINE: The name of this cuvée, Jadis, roughly translates as “long ago, in olden days.” Made predominately from Carignan with balance made up of Syrah and Grenache. 45 year old vines. Vinified in concrete and raised in barrel for two years before bottling.
  • ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Domaine Léon Barral is one of the Languedoc’s most iconic estates, located in the hills of Faugères. Run by Didier Barral, the domaine is a leader in biodynamic and regenerative agriculture, using animals like pigs and cows to cultivate soil vitality. Old vines of Carignan, Syrah, and Grenache are farmed with zero chemicals, and the wines are made with native yeasts, no fining or filtration, and minimal sulfur. The wines are dense yet lifted, with wild herbal notes, dark fruit, and a fierce mineral backbone from the schist soils.
