- TASTING NOTE: Morgon is known for intensely expressing its terroir. This wine required a little time to open to reveal notes of white flowers and undergrowth. The palate is delicate and round, revealing a beautiful delicacy between crisp fruit and a slight bitterness. Morgon does not escape the qualities of finesse and elegance found in this 2022 vintage. Morgon wines can be appreciated in their youth but also in their maturity.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Vine cultivation is sustainable, the harvest is manual with careful sorting. 80% de-stemmed. Vinification is done with native yeasts. 80% in oak barrels and 20% in stainless steel vats for 10 months

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: The Domaine de Vernus, created in 2019, is located in the heart of the vineyards, in the municipality of Régnié-Durette at the hamlet of Vernus. It covers an area of more than 12 hectares of vines. The plots have been meticulously selected according to their location, the quality of the soil and the health of the plants. All the estate's wines are made from this unique and emblematic grape variety of the region, Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc . The vines, aged 55/60 years on average, are traditionally pruned in goblet form and most of them are not trained . The vineyards are cultivated in an environmentally friendly manner that preserves the soil and biodiversity. Some plots are plowed by horse. Harvests are done by hand. Yields are reasonable, averaging 35 to 45 hectoliters per hectare. The winemaking process limits inputs as much as possible, punctuated by supervised natural processes and subject to constant vigilance at all stages of development.
