- TASTING NOTE: The Solis is 100% Malbec - it's a friendly cuvee that the winery decided to make as an introduction to Malbec wine. Medium bodied, crunchy red fruits, juicy. Notes of violets, blue berries, red plums. Vinification in vats only allows the velvety fruit to come forward with a nice herbal finish. Importer Notes
- ABOUT THE WINE: Cosse et Maissoneuve wines are not the norm for Cahors. The wines are full of fruit, but they are uncommonly elegant and round for Cahors, not at all the old school rustic style that people often associate with the typical style of Malbecs from the area. Through precise and accurate winemaking, Cosse et Maisonneuve yield elegant, smooth and aerial wines that truly express the terroir and that have an incredible ageing potential. Winemaker Notes

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Cosse & Maisonneuve was created to produce great Cahors wines. We cultivate around 20 hectares in the Cahors appellation. Here, Malbec reigns supreme. It thrives in its ideal climate, on magnificent clay-limestone plateaus on the outskirts of the appellation. We produce Vin de France wines based on Cabernet Franc (Carmenet, Sidérolithe), which is the other great red grape variety in the area but is not authorized in the Cahors appellation. Biodynamics is part of the estate's philosophy and allows us to obtain grapes that perfectly reflect the identity of the Cahors terroir.
