- ABOUT THE WINE:Barringwood’s Non-vintage cuvee was crafted with handpicked fruit from our Evandale vineyard located at the southern end of the Tamar Valley. It is a blend of Chardonnay 58%, Pinot Noir 41% and Pinot Meunier 1%, based on 2021 vintage.Grapes were whole bunch-pressed to tank for primary fermentation, then underwent malolactic fermentation (100%) and batonnage to develop texture and mouth feel. The base wine was then bottled with a yeast addition and the secondary (bubble generating) fermentation completed under crown seal. After a minimum of 18 months lees aging each bottle was riddled, disgorged and dosaged.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Wife and husband team, Vanessa and Neville Bagot are the duo behind Barringwood wines. From its humble beginnings as a hobby vineyard in the early 90s Barringwood now operates three vineyards in the north of state, capitalising on the wide climatic and terroir differences to create distinctive still and sparkling wines.
