  • TASTING NOTE: The wine presents a bright ruby color with prominent cherry aromas, complemented by a strong presence of spice and dried herbs. On the palate, it is dry and medium-bodied, with soft tannins  and balanced finish.
  • ABOUT THE WINE:  This wine is made from approximately 35-year-old, Guyot-trained vines rooted in predominantly clayey-calcareous soil. The grapes are de-stemmed and gently pressed, with fermentation occurring in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 25-31°C to ensure optimal extraction. The wine is matured in stainless steel tanks and further refined in the bottle before release.
  • ABOUT THE PRODUCER:  Located in Fumane di Valpolicella, the Allegrini family have been producing wine in the region since 1557 and today tend around 70 hectares of vines in the communes of Fumane, Sant Ambrogio and San Pietro, all situated within the Valpolicella Classico DOC. The Allegrini range includes Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto as well as the single vineyard wines, La Grola made from Corvina, Rondinella, Syrah and Sangiovese and La Poja produced from just Corvina. Work in both the vineyard and winery is meticulous with no stone left unturned. Allegrini are considered to be one of the regions, and Italy’s finest producers.
