It is set high in the Porongurup Ranges, which are 40 km north of Western Australia’s south coast regional centre Albany. Towards the end of 1981 the 55 hectare property was specifically selected by Angelo and Wendy Diletti to grow premium quality table-wine grapes. The choice was based on the elevation, an approximate eastern slope, well-drained soils and excellent water catchment potential. \u003cspan\u003eRob Diletti is the winemaking son of Castle Rock Estate founders Angelo and Wendy Diletti. During his formative years Rob worked in the family’s vineyard, developing a keen interest in grape-growing. In 2001 he co-designed the Castle Rock Estate winery, a 200-tonne winery set within the family’s vineyards.
